Crankshaft: Working, Types and Function
The crankshaft refers to the rotating shaft used to create the rotary motion in the piston. The crankshaft or crank is used in different types of pumps and engines, but it is most commonly used in engines (i.e., piston engines).?

Working principle of the crankshaft
The crankpin attaches to the large end completes two moving pairs. This is an additional bearing surface whose axis protrudes from the axis of the motor shaft. Types of Crankshafts
1) Cast Crankshaft
They refer to the types of crankshafts that have been around for a long time and are mainly used in diesel and gasoline engines. This name clearly indicates that they are made with the hammer casting process. Their performance is very expensive, which is why the manufacturer often chooses them.
The crankshaft is a shaft that maintains a 180-degree angle with all linear four-cylinder engines. In the case of cross-sectional crankshafts, they require a multi-part mold because the loader and weight are not symmetrical. Cast crankshafts extinguish the fire to increase abrasion resistance for a specific area.
2) Forged crankshaft
These crankshafts are relatively more powerful and more common, especially the high-stress engine standards of some 16-volt engines. There are several molds that are rolled and roughly machined.
These molds are inserted into an enormous hydraulic press with a clamping force of several tons. Place a very high-quality steel rod in the lower mold and then close the mold. 3) Billet Crankshafts
The billet shaft is one of the best types of crankshafts that have been used in machines before and is usually used to make this crankshaft. It generally contains materials such as nickel, chromium, aluminum and molybdenum, and other elements. Since the machining time of the crankshaft is the shortest, these crankshafts are the most common. It also requires some balance due to the uniform composition of the ingredients.
