Attributes
Your character’s attributes in Elden Ring provide vital indicators of damage, toughness and spellcasting power – it’s crucial that players understand these. To level an attribute, interact with any Site of Grace and select “Level Up.” From there you can choose to enhance any one of 8 attributes and determine how many Runes it will cost to do so.
Players leveling attributes contributes to overall level increases. Therefore, it is recommended that players aim for reaching level 40 as soon as possible (or up to level 60 if your playstyle requires it – for instance frontline melee builds may benefit). Beyond this point is an unnecessary waste of Runes.
Attribute Points
Elden ring runes serve as the main currency and leveling experience in Elden Ring, just as they did in previous FromSoftware titles. Players can use them to level up their character and stats, upgrade weapons with Smithing stones, and purchase items from Merchants found throughout the Lands Between.
