The place is famous for its natural hot springs. An old temple of Lord Shiva is also situated at the top. The hot water pool which is known as Parvati Kund is separated into two parts one side for males and one for females. Kheerganga is a popular trekking destination.

Kasol-Kheerganga trek starts from Kasol and leads to Barshaini. A short one hour drive will take you to Barshaini, which is a picturesque hamlet between Kasol and Kheerganga. The total trek distance is 12km which can be covered in 5-6 hours. The trek is so refreshing and surreal one. The trek will take you through dense groves of pines and fir, cascading waterfalls, steep climbs, ascends and descends, with great landscapes of nature. After reaching the Kheerganga top, you will be amazed by the surreal beauty of nature, tranquil surroundings, great landscapes of nature, and lush greenery rolling down from the mountains. In winters, get ready to witness snow at Kheerganga. Camping at the top will be an amazing experience to cherish for a lifetime. The star-glanced nights are magical. How to reach?

The best way to reach Kasol is to get down to Bhuntar first. There are a lot of buses available from Delhi to Bhuntar. You can also take a direct flight from Delhi and reach Bhuntar. Then, take a bus from Bhuntar to reach Kasol.

There are a lot of local buses and taxis available at Kasol that will take you to Barshaini, where you can start the trek.

  • Always carry a water bottle and handy snacks in your backpack.
